چکیده

This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of vegetable protein sources on growth and economic performance nursery pigs in a commercial research environment. A total 2,592 (L337 × 1050, PIC; initial BW 11.8 ± 0.11 lb) were used 42-d study. Pens blocked by weaning date allotted 1 6 dietary treatments randomized complete block design with 27 per pen 16 replications treatment across 2 rooms. Similar numbers barrows gilts placed each pen. Effects of fermented soybean meal and specialty animal protein sources on nursery pig performance.

In 2 experiments, 602 pigs were used to evaluate the effects of fish meal, fermented soybean meal, or dried porcine solubles on phase 2 nursery pig performance. In Exp. 1, nursery pigs (n = 252; PIC TR4 x 1050; 6.8 kg initial BW and 7 d after weaning) were fed: 1) a control diet containing no specialty protein sources and the control diet with 2) 5% fish meal, 3) 3.5% dried porcine solubles, 4)...

Evaluation of Dietary Electrolyte Balance on Nursery Pig Performance

A total of 2,880 pigs (PIC 327 × L42; initial BW 11.4 lb) were used in a 35-d growth performance trial evaluating the effects of dietary electrolyte balance (dEB) on growth performance of nursery pigs. There were 30 pigs per pen (60 pigs per double-sided feeder) and 12 replications (feeder) per treatment. Pens of pigs were allotted by BW and sex on arrival, and randomly assigned to 1 of 4 dieta...

Effect of Dietary Protein Sources on Lamb’s Performance: A Review

Protein and energy are the two major components of feed that influence performance of the growing and fattening lambs. Provision of the quality of protein in the lamb’s diet does not only improve the animal performance but also ensures profitable animal production. Different vegetable protein sources are used to formulate the rations for growing and fattening lambs. These protein sources differ...

Evaluation of soy protein concentrates in nursery pig diets.

Four experiments were conducted with 730 weanling pigs to determine the effects of soy protein concentrate (SPC) in diets for weanling pigs. Experimental diets were fed from d 0 to 14 postweaning and a common diet was fed from d 15 to 28 for Exp. 1, 2, and 3; experimental diets were fed from d 0 to 7 postweaning in Exp. 4. In Exp. 1, the 4 experimental diets included 1) a 0% soybean meal (SBM) ...

Fermented soybean meal as a vegetable protein source for nursery pigs: I. Effects on growth performance of nursery pigs.

Four experiments were conducted using 671 nursery pigs to evaluate fermented soybean meal (FSBM) as a new vegetable protein source for nursery pigs. In Exp. 1, a total of 192 pigs weaned at 19.2 +/- 0.3 d of age were fed 3 diets (8 pens per treatment) for 2 wk: a control diet (without FSBM) and 2 diets with 3 and 6% FSBM replacing soybean meal, followed by a common diet for the next 2 wk. In Ex...
